When you start looking for a beautiful handmade toy or doll for your child it doesn’t take long to develop an appreciation for the time and skill that it takes to craft one of these beauties. You can almost feel the love that is put in to each and every piece! Whether it’s a beautiful hand-stitched doll or a handmade wooden train, you want to make sure that the way they are stored is taken in to careful consideration. The last thing we want is for them to be thrown to the bottom of the toy box! After all, they are just as much decorative pieces as they are toys.

When designing kids rooms and nurseries, storage is always the first thing I take in to consideration. I usually suggest plenty of hidden and concealed storage to keep the rooms looking uncluttered but I always love to have some form of open storage for displaying our most beautiful and treasured pieces. It’s these open storage areas that are the perfect place to store your heirloom pieces!

There are so many beautiful storage options nowadays and navigating the shops and the web can be quite overwhelming! So to make your life a little easier I’ve put together 20 of my favourite open storage options for storing your beloved handmade toys and dolls.

We couldn’t resist sharing a few of our favourite toy and doll storage and display ideas from the beautiful collections we have featuring on Tiny Loves Slow.  Which one is your favourite?  We would love to see how you’ve displayed your little ones precious toys and dolls.  Just post a pic on your Instagram or Facebook and tag us @tinylovesslow with the hashtag #tinylovesslowtoysanddolls
