Artwork for your kid’s room

Jul 12, 2017 | Kids Rooms

I love prints and artwork in my kid’s rooms.  For me, it just creates a nice, warm and inviting space to be in, but did you know there is actually a science behind introducing colours and shapes to your little ones.  Kristin Poh, the founder, and designer at Hues & Fables is passionate about creating beautiful, stylish prints to stimulate children’s imaginations.  Before starting her business, Kristin researched how the introduction of engaging colours and shapes, can support the cognitive development of babies and small children. You can read more about it in the Colour Guide she put together on her website.  A really interesting read and so useful if you’re thinking of redecorating your child’s room or are in the middle of planning a new nursery.

There are so many beautiful ways to add colour and imagination into your child’s room, here is a list of some of the things that I’ve done (and one I need to do).

Those are my top tips and go-to ideas for artwork in your children’s room.  If you are looking for something slightly more professional, I’ve had great fun putting together this list of my favourite Illustrators to look out for.  I struggled to get it down to twelve, there are just so many amazing artists out there.
